HIEU Executive President Li Zhao is the proud recipient of a special accolade by the Chinese State Council in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the social sciences and education field. The award, which was created in July 1990 by the State Council – the highest administrative authority in Chinachaired by Premier Wen Jiabo – is awarded every 2 years, and aims to recognise and reward highly talented individuals at the national level.
President Li Zhao received his prestigious award from the Deputy Governor of Hunan Province, and stands proudly alongside the other 58 individuals who received similar accolades in the region. The award is testament to the strong track-record, quality and reputation of HIEU as a leading private university in China.
One of the founding members of HIEU, Li has been instrumental in the overall strategy, outreach activities as well as teaching innovation at HIEU. His portfolio also includes finance, administration and management systems. He has been a driving force in the progress HIEU has made over the past decade, which has resulted in the university being one of the flagship private universities in China.
Since 2005, HIEU has clinched many awards and recognition annually, including - “China’s Top 3 Private Universities” in “China Private University Ranking” initiated by China University Alumni Association and 21st Century Talent Newspaper.HIEU International Exchange Office was also awarded the “advanced unit of foreign affairs management among the city's foreign-related institutions” in 2011; attributable to its strong service oriented culture, strength of its faculty and management system.The department, has among others, initiated projects with visiting group from UPC (Peru), Harding University (US) and Kyushu Kyoritsu University (Japan), etc.
